1. HUNGRY? the KING will SAVE you

Two weeks ago, I went to town to meet up with friends and I came across this bulletin…

Pretty awesome advertising!!! It’s very true that there’s a KING that will save you and can save you… but it’s not Burger King…  it’s Jesus!!!

With Jesus as your King, it’s for free and for eternity!  Truly it’s better with the King ‘Jesus’! It will satisfy your hunger (not just your physical hunger but your hunger within).

John 6:35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.

  2. Live and walk in step with the Spirit

From the book “Just Walk Across the Room” by Bill Hybels, he prayed this prayer each morning declaring

“My life is in Your hands, God. Use me to point someone- I promise to cooperate in any way I can. If you want me to say a word for You today, I’ll do that. If You want me to keep quiet but demonstrate love and servanthood, by Your Spirit’s power I will. I’m fully available to You today, so guide me by Your Spirit.”

Bill Hybels said “Sometimes, the end result of praying this prayer is that  the Spirit allows me to have spiritual conversation that tells of a loving and a righteous God who created all things, who has a purpose in mind for all people, and who is actually hoping to relate with them as they walk through life. Other times, the Spirit simply prompts me to serve and love and listen to the needs of those who are far from God. The key is this: my objective is not to contrive ways to “get someone saved”; rather my objective is to walk when He prompts me to walk, talk when  He prompts me to talk, fall silent when I’m at risk of saying too much, and stay put when He leads me to stay. If I can lay my head on the pillow at night knowing that I have cooperated with the promptings of the Spirit that day, I sleep like a baby.”

After reading this part of the book, I said to myself, I wanna pray that prayer each morning- it’s an awesome prayer. I wanna cooperate with the promptings of the Holy Spirit in my life. I tell you it works, and its amazing when we walk in step with the Spirit. For the past two nights, although it has been  freezing n I’ve been sneezing,  I’ve been sleeping with  smile in my face and joy in my heart knowing that I’ve walk in step with the Spirit (Galatians 5:25 “Since we live by Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.”)

I encouraged you, pray this prayer, live and walk in step with the Spirit and see and experience where He leads You. It’s gonna be amazing, I repeat AMAZING (though most times it will not be easy, but it will be AMAZING).

  3. God is my REFUGE and STRENGTH

How do we respond to tornadoes, earthquakes, tsunamis, thunderstorms, forest fires,  floods, draughts, n wars - spiritual warfare specifically, that are around us and bombarding us?

“God is our refuge and strength, a helper who is always found in times of trouble. Therefore we will not be afraid,

though the earth trembles and mountains topple into the depths of the seas, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with its turmoil.”

    Psalm 46:1-3

  4. Sometime last week I watched the Disney movie “Tarzan.”  As the song “You’ll be in my Heart”  was sung, the lines from songs seems to corresponds to some bible verses.  It’s as if God was singing  to me and telling me that He’ll always be with me. Here are some lines from the song and the bible verses that correspond to it.

    “You’ll be in my heart”

    Come stop your crying
    It will be all right
Just take my hand Hold it tight

(2 Corinthians 1:3-4 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.”)

    I will protect you
    from all around you
    I will be here
    Don’t you cry

(Psalm 121:7-8 “The Lord will keep you from all harm- He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”

    For one so small,
    you seem so strong
    My arms will hold you,
    keep you safe and warm

(Psalm 91:4 “He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.)

    This bond between us
    Can’t be broken
    I will be here
    Don’t you cry

(Romans 8:38-39 “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present or the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”)

‘Cause you’ll be in my heart
Yes, you’ll be in my heart
    From this day on
    Now and forever more

    You’ll be in my heart
    No matter what they say
You’ll be here in my heart, always

(Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous. Do not  be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”)

God loves us so much and  we’ll always be in His heart (Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”) The big question is, is He in our hearts? Is He in yours?

  5. “Open the ‘Eiyes’ of my heart, Lord

“Open the ‘Eiyes’ of my heart, Lord

     Open the ‘Eiyes’ of my heat;

     I want to see You”

Lord, open not just my eyes or just parts of me, but the whole of me- all my heart, all my mind, all soul, and all my strength to You.                                        In Jesus Mighty Name,  Amen

  6. GREIYESreka

Romans 6:14b says “..you are not under law but under grace” thus results to “Eiyes (that’s me) under Grace”. This equates to GREIYES.

    What does under grace mean?

This is grace comes from God  (my loving father who created me and has a wonderful plan in my life, who loves me unconditionally and He pours out His love that I don’t deserve). GOD’S GRACE is love we don’t deserve but nevertheless was/is/will always be there for us through JESUS CHRIST.

    GREIYESreka?

    - comes about from the Ancient Greek word “Eureka!”. If translated to English will be “I have found (it).” Its an exclamation used to celebrate a discovery.

As I journey with my life (under God’s Grace) and discover things along the way (through God’s Grace)…  here’s my blog space greiyesreka@tumbler.com.

    “GREIYESreka!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

About me

I have found myself under God's grace.
